Well, March flew by and I didn't do a great job of making regular posts. I spent most of the month working on a bunch of projects that I'm finishing up now. One of the fun things I did do was take a little vacation with Alec for his spring break. We headed down to Washington, D.C. on the train to check out the sights. After that we flew to Florida to go to Disney World! I put together this little travel video to share our trip.
Disney resorts pretty much only show Disney networks, which they own a lot of: ABC, ESPN, Disney channel, etc. When they don't have a channel filled or they're blocking a rival network they play a rotating 3D logo from 1992, which I thoroughly enjoyed watching, check for it at the end of the video.

Basewood Beard Destroyed!
Alec finished the last chapter of his graphic novel, Basewood, on December 2, 2011. He then edited and assembled the book and planned a big event for his first haircut and shave in over 3 years.
Each time Alec finished penciling or inking a page of Basewood, he would take a photograph, I took all those photos and some images from his books and created this fun video.
We used Livestream to broadcast the haircut as it happened on December 9, 2011, you can check out that video here: http://livestre.am/1aBwl
Aside from finally seeing Alec without a beard, this is a big step for us as it kicks of the planning stages of our next adventure together.

Beardumentary
While I was in college I noticed a lot of dudes were growing beards. I guess from a puberty standpoint this makes sense, the super awkward years of high school are mostly over and you're coming to terms with being an "adult" and being a man, so why not grow a beard. Plus in college, for the most part, you feel like you can do whatever you want.
This still didn't make much sense to me, so I decided to make a mini documentary about it, or at least ask some dudes some questions about their beards and see what I learn. I focused on talking to young guys that were growing their first or close to first beard.
By making the documentary I did learn a decent amount about beards, mostly that guys thought they were cool and by having a beard it would make them cool. Or it was just out of laziness, which is also valid. I'm still not really into them. Now I'm with a dude who has a crazy huge beard, but at least it's for a good cause: art.
